The history of Devonfield
History
In 1959, as a result of a public meeting, a committee was established with the aim of forming an organisation to provide training, employment and accommodation opportunities for people with a disability in the North-West and West Coast regions of Tasmania.

From this meeting Devonfield Enterprises Inc. evolved to what it is today – a not-for-profit organisation with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for its client group, namely children and adults with disabilities.
​
Devonfield's aim is to provide opportunities for community integration for people with disabilities and maximise their independence.
